About
Well-traveled both geographically and musically, bassist and composer Jason Crowe has had the good fortune to perform with a diverse range of artists across various genres of music.
Jason has performed or recorded with Marvin Stamn, Ernie Watts, Randy Brecker, The New York Voices, Michael Abene, Crystal Gayle, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Faith Hill, Wynonna Judd, Celine Dion, and CeCe Winans. He has also performed at the Monterrey Jazz Festival, the Clearwater Jazz Festival, the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Cork Jazz Festival in Ireland, the North Sea Jazz Festival, the Vail Jazz Festival, the Telluride Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall, and the Grand Ole Opry.
As a former member of the USAF Academy Band in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jason has recorded extensively with and was a group leader of the Falconaires, an 18-piece jazz big band, including recording projects featuring the music of Sammy Nestico, the Grammy-recognized recording "Sharing the Freedom," and "The Long Blue Line." He has also been a member and group leader for the Air Force Academy Band Country/Pop Band, Wild Blue Country.
As an educator, Jason has taught at Colorado State University Pueblo as an adjunct Bass instructor and was a Guest Artist in residence at Adams State University. Jason’s private students have been either the Colorado All-State Jazz Band bassist or alternate, and in some years, both since 2010.
Jason holds a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Commercial Music from Liberty University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
