About
Pauline Foss’ paintings and drawings reflect her interest and concern about the natural world and the humans and non-humans that co-exist (ideally). She is a staunch supporter of animal rights and outside of working as a professional artist and educator, she has worked as a dog trainer, a pedal steel guitar player, and is presently an equestrian.
Foss received a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from the Vermont College of Fine Art, a Master’s Degree in Art from Adams State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of California, Davis. She has been the recipient of numerous fellowships and awards, including a Colorado Excellence in the Arts Fellowship in 2002. Her work has been exhibited widely both nationally and regionally. She presently lives with a dog and four cats in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
