About the Program

The Minor in Music - Composition & Sound Design is for any student who would like to seriously hone their composition skills. 

Focus of Study

This minor provides three semesters of Music Theory, one semester of Electronic and Computer Music, plus electives in Audio Engineering and Film Scoring

Program Requirements

  • 20 credit hours within Music
  • 9 upper-division credit hours (3000-4999 level)
  • 2.0 Minor GPA (grade of C or better in any course counted toward the minor)
  • Residency: Last 11 credit hours of the minor must be completed while registered at UCCS
