Shazia Ali holds a Master's Degree in Music Education from Boston University and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from The Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver. Shazia has performed across the U.S. and Italy both as a soloist and for many chamber groups and ensembles. While primarily working in higher education, Shazia also serves as the Director of Music at First Baptist Church in Colorado Springs and is an active performing member of the American Music Society. With a distinct focus on diversifying curriculum, Shazia continues her research and work on diversity, equity, and inclusion in music as the first recipient of the Diverse Faculty Fellowship Grant at Pikes Peak State College. Shazia has also received a Certification in Recording Arts from Stanford University and works closely with faculty and alumni from Stanford's CCRMA program, while actively pursuing the expansion of recording arts in music curriculums in Colorado.
