Instructor - Art History
The History of Art and Visual Culture Program within the Department of Visual and Performing Arts seeks a full-time, in-person Instructor. Our ideal candidate is a generalist who can teach broad global surveys; and/or has expertise in Ancient, Medieval and/or Early Modern art and/or visual culture (including material culture and the built world); and can teach a range of courses beyond the Western tradition and prior to 1700 (geographic area of focus is open). Interest in developing the interdisciplinary ground of the program, new courses in areas of expertise, as well as courses that study the cultures of marginalized and/or underrepresented populations in the history of art and visual culture is highly desirable.
