  • The UCCS Galleries of Contemporary Art are the most progressive and experimental contemporary art galleries in Colorado Springs. Exhibitions showcase artists of significant national and international reputation. The senior thesis show is presented at GOCA each May. GOCA 121 is off-campus, located in the heart of downtown and focuses on innovative collaborations between local, national, and international curators and artists. GOCA's newest exhibition space, the Marie Walsh Sharpe Gallery of Contemporary Art, is located in the Ent Center for the Arts. Both spaces provide students and the community at large opportunities to see excellent, award-winning work. In addition to the two galleries, GOCA also contains an education space, the Sheppard Arts Learning Studio located in the Ent Center for the Arts, which is host to their popular interdisciplinary Chit/Chat events.

  • The VAPA Interdisciplinary Arts Lab is a multiuse, collaborative space for the interdisciplinary curriculum of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts programs (Art History, Film Studies, Music, Theatre & Dance, Visual Arts) and equipped with an array of technology and resources including multi-media technology, installation and sculpture capabilities, sound, green screen for film and more. 

  • The Visual Arts Sculpture Studio is a multi-use warehouse building, consisting of a metalwork room with welding facilities, a woodshop, materials for use in casting and ceramics, as well as two clean rooms for installation.

  • The Painting/Printmaking Studio is a large, open space home to two printing presses for woodcut printing as well as etching and monoprints, and a workspace. Additionally, the studio contains cubbies for students to store their work and supplies, as well as easels and skylights for ambient lighting. Located in Centennial Hall.

  • The Dock is an installation space and student-run gallery and events center branching off the Painting/Printmaking Studio. Located in Centennial Hall.

  • The Drawing and Design Studios are classroom spaces that include access to closets stocked with materials, easels, and projectors for faculty lectures. Located in Columbine Hall.

  • The Visual Resource Center houses two professional Epson Stylus Pro printers, a graphic arts scanner, and two iMac desktop computers - both with Adobe Creative Cloud. Students may also check out digital and manual cameras, digital camcorders, microphones, lighting equipment, audio records, digital projectors, tripods, and a GoPro for course-related projects. Located in Columbine Hall.
